I needed a change. Nothing too crazy like bangs, or blonde highlights, but something that I don't do often, that makes me feel a flicker of creativity, and something out of the norm. So today, I chose to write in Cursive. It felt good. I practiced my s to r transition and fiercely signed my name with big loops and long unnecessary endings. And today that was enough for me. Maybe next time I'll get really cRaZy and drive with both feet. Ok.... I already do that. Sometimes.
In other news: I have a boat load of homework. Speech articulation. Testing my alveolar ridge and writing in phonetic transcription.... very time consuming, shocking right??? Blogging makes me feel less overwhelmed and relieves my brain from deciding which parts of my tongue I'm using when I say words like chicken. Chik- uhn. or /ˈtʃɪkən/ <---- yes that spells chicken. You just said it didn't you?

We attended a family reunion in July. It was serious business. And while we only caught the last two days of the three day event it was so much fun. Here is the last day of this affair . Three legged race! They were serious about it. 
Well maybe more serious for some. Daniel does what it takes to win.

Also over the summer we celebrated a 4 year olds birthday. He spent the day with his mom and dad at Circus Circus, got a visit from his Grandpa, and then had a combined bash with his fun lovin' cousins. I know he had a good time and I'm sad to see him growing up.
