Jordan and I spend sufficient quality time together. However, never in the confined spaces of an airplane, and certainly not for 4 straight hours. I have to admit it gave me anxiety. Yes, just like when I was pregnant and I knew I would have to face that giant epidural needle. Luckily they serve alcohol on airplanes, but thankfully I didn't need it. Jordan was great. He did cry all the way through security, while we boarded the flight, and then on and off for three days because his dad had to come later.... it was awful. We made many phone calls until his daddy arrived, many in the middle of the night. Hallelujah for time zones. Traveling home however, I wasn't sure we were going to make it. Especially when Danny offered to and I quote, "Slap the shit out of this asshole behind me." Yeah, I was sitting there sweating bullets. I could just see it all in my mind. Me sitting in the terminal of some airport, crying on the phone to my mom, telling her how they escorted us off the plane and were detaining us. Thanks a lot Osama bin Laden.(Hangover) Miraculously there was not a language barrier for long. Everyone speaks ass whoopaneese. Holiday Miracle. Am I proud that my fight runs through my husbands veins.... not always. It's just a fact.
It rained many of the days we were in Atlanta but Grandma never fails to deliver and planned some fun things to do. One was Stone/Snow Mountain.
We also made an appearance at the Children's Museum and even managed to take a family photo. A first.
But we spent most of our time loungin' at Grandmas, eating and eating, and even offered our culinary skills in the kitchen.
Dj finally made it to GA Christmas Day and as soon as he landed at Grandmas we ate a giant feast and while we were chowin down Santa slipped in and left some very special presents.
And we are now back to reality, bags finally unpacked. It only took me a week.... don't judge. And it will be Christmas all over again when the mailman comes on Tuesday because we had to leave all our toys behind but Grandmas was nice enough to mail them to us! Love.
As for the new year we rang it in at a friends house with a few of our favorite people.
Aren't they cute.... all those mix chilren'. :) Happy New Year! (and yes, it only took me 5 days to finish this post)
